Tackling Disparities
The Facts
As noted in the Table below—developed by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)—American Indian or Alaska Native, Black or African American, or Hispanic or Latino persons have much higher rates of infection, hospitalization, and death from COVID-19.
Recent, early studies also indicate that Black and Hispanic Americans are receiving the COVID-19 vaccine at significantly lower rates than White people.
