NFL Alumni and Sanford Health BioBank

Athletes understand the importance of leaving a legacy. Legacies benefit and impact future generations and help advance youth sports.

NFL Alumni is partnering with Sanford Health to establish a biobank to support research in sports-related injuries, brain health and sports performance.

The biobank will collect, process and store blood, saliva and survey information from participants. It will enable scientists to begin their studies earlier by providing the samples they need without the wait, accelerating research and potential discoveries.

An executive committee composed of NFL Alumni and Sanford Health will oversee the biobank. Studies that wish to use the samples will be reviewed by a scientific committee that includes members from NFL Alumni, Sanford Health and experts from various fields.
