About
NFL Alumni Health Mission
Improve the health of NFL Alumni members and mobilize them as beacons of trust and inspiration to elevate the health of our communities.
Our History
The NFL Alumni Association (NFL Alumni) was founded in 1967 and is the oldest and most recognizable national organization of retired professional athletes. NFL Alumni consists of former NFL players, coaches, executives, spouses, and cheerleaders. Members of the public are also able to join NFL Alumni as Associate Members.
NFL Alumni Health (NFLAH) is a wholly-owned subsidiary of NFL Alumni. Initiated in 2018, the purpose of NFLAH is two-fold:
- Improve NFL alumni access to healthcare and wellness services
- Empower NFL alumni to become beacons of trust and inspiration within their communities to improve healthcare outcomes
NFLAH achieves it’s purpose by first offering alumni access to curated, high-quality healthcare resources, expanding their access to unique medical research initiatives, networking members on similar medical journeys and building their healthcare knowledge with evidence-based tools. In parallel, NFLAH also empowers alumni to become active, vocal members of the broader healthcare community to help influence community health initiatives. By participating in the national NFLAH ‘Huddle for Health’ campaigns and the ‘Locker Room’ community engagement forums, alumni can serve as powerful, informative spokesman for healthcare initiatives aiming to improve public health.
