Weight Management

 

A number of Americans have difficulty managing their weight. In fact, more than 1 in 3 adults in the United States are obese, which is defined as having a body mass index (BMI) of 30 or higher. Adults with obesity also have a higher risk of developing heart disease, diabetes, and some types of cancer. Being obese can also be associated with mental health issues. 

Achieving and maintaining a healthy weight is supported by healthy eating habits and regular physical activity. Some medications can also help. 

NFL Alumni Health is offering informational resources, programs, and tools to help individuals achieve and maintain a healthy weight. Examples of some of those programs are provided below.
