About

NFL Alumni Health is partnering with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) on an outreach and education initiative to help build COVID-19 vaccination confidence.

Rolling out nationally and in 20 NFL Alumni chapter cities and regions, the campaign features more than 40 current and retired NFL players who are speaking up to encourage people to address their questions, get informed, and make the decision about getting vaccinated to protect themselves, their families, and their communities.

The campaign includes public service announcements from players, media interviews, and a campaign website highlighting player perspectives, answers to frequently asked questions about COVID-19 vaccines, and community events – such as player-supported vaccination events held in collaboration with local health care organizations across the country.

The NFL Alumni Health community outreach and education initiative appeals to those who are hesitant by acknowledging their concerns, dispelling common myths and driving them to resources that can help them make an informed decision.

To date, more than 40 current and former NFL players have agreed to participate in the campaign, including 20 Super Bowl Champions, 25 Pro Bowlers, and 15 members of the Pro Football Hall of Fame. NFL Alumni CEO, Beasley Reece; NFL Alumni President, Bart Oates; NFL Alumni Board Member and Chairman of Board Chapters, Kyle Richardson, and NFL Alumni Co-Director of Health Care Initiatives, Billy Davis—all former NFL players—serve as Lead Ambassadors of the campaign. Janet Marchibroda serves as Executive Director of the campaign, also referred to as the NFL Alumni Health COVID-19 Vaccination Outreach and Education Initiative.

The campaign supports the triple mission of the independent, non-profit organization NFL Alumni, of “Caring for our Own,” “Caring for Kids” and “Caring for Our Community.” The purpose of NFL Alumni Health—a wholly-owned subsidiary of NFL Alumni—is to improve the health and wellness of NFL Alumni members and the broader public.
